Water based PFC Free formula restores original waterproof finish to equipment. Clean fabric if required with Storm Wash. Use on damp or dry fabric. Shake bottle and spray evenly from a distance of 10 - 15 cm. Rubbing over with a clean cloth dampened with proofer ensures better performance and reduces runs. Allow to dry for 12 hours for maximum performance, reduce this time by using tumble dry if garment allows. As tents get used the surface treatment that repels the water on the flysheet, DWR, starts to age and become damaged. Maintaining a good program of care and cleaning will ensure it performs to its best for as long as possible, however there will come a time when the DWR requires replacing, this can be done by the domestic user with a simple spray on product. Our silicone based tent proofer contains no harmful PFC's and offers an excellent level of performance.Applying this revitalises the DWR to original performance and can enrich the colour fade from UV exposure. To check if an item requires a little extra DWR then a simple test can be done, drip water on the other surface of the fly and if this run off then the DWR is working fine, if it clings to the surface or dampens the surface and the colour darkens then the addition of a proofer after the clean would be worth while.
